Romeo’s First Birthday By Lux Events Co.

The birthday parties to end all birthday parties. This is exactly what Romeo King Kiani’s first birthday party was.

Sunny Kiani, the owner of Lux Events Co, a Toronto-based wedding and event planning company, threw the most magical, balloon and cake-filled party for her son, Romeo’s first birthday. Thankfully, we got to witness it all!

Hosted in our Ballroom and Conservatory studios, these two bright and open spaces allowed for Lux Events Co. and the whole team to have lots of room to work with to pull off such a grandiose event! “Mint Room was the perfect clean canvas for Romeo’s birthday,” Sunny states, “It was the perfect space, because it tied all the birthday details perfectly together without overpowering any of the details. The two rooms combined made the party super functional with adults and kids. The experience was fantastic and we loved every minute of it.”

Talk about details! Our studios were decorated with shades of blue, white and grey all over, from the donut wheel that stood up in the Ballroom, to the large balloon arch that towered over the Ballroom mantelpiece, and even Romeo’s birthday cake; an epic four-tiered dessert dream that resembled a castle, fitting perfectly with the nostalgic theme Sunny strived for! “I wanted the party to be clean, airy, classic and yet nostalgic to us! I drew in sentimental elements like a poem written by Romeo’s dad on the invitation to a patisserie cart (we love anything French). I wanted it to reflect us as a family more than anything and I think we did just that!”

Laughter and party chatter filled our studios that day and we couldn’t be happier to have been a part of the most exclusive party of the year for such a huge milestone.
