WedLuxe Creative Photoshoot at Mint Room Studios
Our jaws dropped when we saw the latest cover of WedLuxe Magazine, shot at Mint Room Studios for the magazine’s W/S 2019 issue. The set and all its components came together in a whimsy of magic to recreate the drama of the Late Baroque period. Embracing the already-popular cherry blossom trend, the WedLuxe team expanded on it by transforming Mint Room Studios into a dramatic setting where the blossoms seemed to grow organically. The dark, textured walls of the studio’s Lounge room helped put a spin on the typically feminine pink florals, and added a powerful, editorial depth.
The creative direction conceived by the WedLuxe team was influenced by the Rococo style. They dreamt up an otherworldly beautiful floral direction, then collaborated with Nicholas Smith, Owner of Opening Night Flowers, to bring their vision to life by building a set that referenced a classic period. That being said, creating such an elaborate, natural setting was no easy task! Several design meetings and vision boards by WedLuxe’s Editor-in-Chief, Angela Desveaux, and Art Director, Rebekah Cuff, went into creating this majestic story. On the day of the actual shoot, Nicholas explains: “Once settled in at Mint Room, WedLuxe’s overall vision was recapped and we set to work. Once we figured out our mechanics, the main props were placed and we started our build while keeping in communication with the design team to ensure all needs were met.” The outcome, as seen below, is a dream for any bride to be.
And let’s not forget about the beautiful statement gowns handpicked for the shoot. The WedLuxe team featured dresses that were on-trend but also incorporated floral embroidery or patterned lace in both white and blush tones.
Each photo in this WedLuxe editorial exudes the true talent of this stellar team and all its members, and we are proud to share this editorial with you below.
