REDESIGN – NEST STUDIO
When we opened Mint Room Studios almost 3 years ago, we wanted to create beautiful rooms filled with great natural light, tasteful designs and beautiful furniture that would serve as perfect backdrops for any kind of creative need. We feel very blessed to have hosted so many stunning productions, events and photo shoots over the years and are very grateful for all the feedback provided by our community, too.
One of the things we’ve often been hearing is that people love using our spaces for photoshoots of their little ones, both in smaller special installations in the space and in the dedicated part of our Nest studio. Based on this, we decided to take things a step further!
We are ecstatic to share something exciting that we’ve been working on recently: Our NEST room is getting a full makeover on March 16th to become a room fully dedicated to little ones – hooray!
Family sessions, cake smash photos, newborn shoots, kids’ lookbooks – you name it!
We were dreaming about this perfect, versatile room and invited Julia Salk to create it for us. If you aren’t familiar with her, Julia is an “interiors and wardrobe stylist with a focus on everything to do with little ones. I have worked with many international brands and was formerly an RH baby&child design specialist. My website is coming soon and meanwhile I can be reached via email and email on Instagram at @juliasalk.”
Long familiar with Mint Room Studios, Julia participated in the Mint Room Challenge in 2018 and has styled multiple photoshoots in our studios over the years.
Below are some of the visuals that Julia prepared for the Nest! The room will have 3 different zones:
1) A gender-neutral nook in grey and beige tones with a modern teepee, hot air balloon details, baskets, pillows and other accessories! (You will find this setup in front of the existing panelled wall).
2) Our “main” wall will get some serious Princess vibes with Monique Lhuillier’s white lace canopy with a gold olive cornice and a beautiful pastel junior nest. The canopy will be surrounded by delicate washed-out pink and grey peony decals.
3) Our third area is a playhouse zone with a bunch of decorative elements in pastel shades around the bookshelf, cozy rug, cute little baskets, chair and a ceramic balloon attached to the wall for cute photo opps!
We cannot wait to see you there and hear what you think!
